Our commitment to quality and sustainability ensures that every bite of our avocados is a delightful experience, bursting with authentic flavors and nutritional goodness.
Hass Avocado
Our own, well-trained harvesting groups do the harvesting at the farms. The fruits are hand picked, handled tenderly and loaded in trucks, with farmer identification included to ensure traceability at all times. No damaged, infected or otherwise non-eligible fruits are harvested. Quality starts in the field with good harvesting.
When the avocados arrive at the packhouse, they are washed, dried, graded and sorted by size. Any fruits that do not fulfil the quality demands are rejected. The fruits are packed in boxes by size and palletised. Full pallets are then taken immediately to cold rooms for pre-cooling.
Pre-cooled avocados are loaded directly to cool containers, sealed and shipped by sea freight to final destinations. We do not usually ship by air freight.
At all stages of the process there are various quality measures. Before harvesting we follow the dry matter levels and support the farmers and do laboratory testing of sample fruits. During harvesting the first malual quality control is done, followed by a second one in sorting process.

FAQ
We are very strict on traceability of our avocados, which is why we only sell certified products. All our contract farmers are individually certified by GlobalGAP, and every farmer has individual GlobaGAP Numbers. This ensures the trail from an orchard in Highlands all the way to the shelves of your local grocery store.
GlobalGAP is a widely used certification worldwide. You can read more of it here.
Our work with quality starts at the farm. The farmers have year-round support of our agronomists, who help in questions about fertilizers, soil health, pests or diseases, as well as crop yield management and farm management. When it is time for harvesting our trained harvesting teams go to collect the fruits. At the packhouse they are quality controlled, weighed and sorted, before packing and palletizing. The fruits are pre-cooled immediately before they finally are loaded on cool containers and shipped to our clients.
Regular laboratory testing is done, as well as daily follow up on dry matter and residue controls.
Water economy is one of the big topics in avocado growing worldwide. Almost all of our farmers are growing their avocados purely on rainwater, which we have plenty of in the Highlands! Environmental sustainability is also taken into account in farming methods, where we are implementing organic fertilizing and pesticide methods. Same goes for soil health, and only environmentally sustainable methods are used for improving the soil.
We have an extensive system of making sure that our farmers are getting all the support they need. Our agronomists are in continuous contact with the villages and farmers, visiting the farms and helping with any practical needs and questions that the farmers may have. We organise trainings about different subjects to the farmers, and help them plan their harvesting in the best possible way. We have also opened a shop to our farmers to help them with fertilizers and pesticides, to make sure that they get the right products and to minimise any risk for forbidden chemicals ending up in their fruits. Our farmers receive fair price for their fruits and we discuss about the market demands together.
Please be in touch with us for your specific needs and we can find a good solution for you.
Our avocados are not just about taste; they are a testament to our dedication to sustainable farming practices. We believe in protecting the environment, supporting local communities, and nurturing a greener future. Every avocado you enjoy is a step towards a more sustainable world.
